What TurfEnhancer does

TurfEnhancer changes the properties of your irrigation water. Rather than sitting in the top layer and taking the path of least resistance, the water spreads evenly and sinks deeper into the root zone. It runs continuously through the system you already have, so every pass of irrigation delivers more than it used to.

Less water, without the course noticing

At De Goese Golf, over 7,000 m³ less water went through the course in 2026 than in 2025: 16,477 m³ against 24,000 m³, in an exceptionally dry summer. Because the water sinks away instead of pooling, permeability holds up too. Infiltration stayed between 185 and 220 mm per hour all season, with no standing water.

No dry patches, no fairy rings

A sand and compost top layer turns water-repellent after drought, which produces stubborn dry patches and fairy rings in spring. At De Goese Golf those were gone. Through the heatwaves the moisture content also held steady at around 30% VWC, where such a layer would normally drop off within days.

A more resilient sward

Fungal pressure stayed low all season and the greens stayed free of dollar spot, while neighbouring courses did not. Grass that is evenly supplied with moisture simply stands up better.

In August I used to be out on the greens with a hose. This year I did not have to, and the course looked better than it ever has.

Feed stays where you put it

Granular fertilisers take better and last longer. Despite the intensive irrigation regime nothing leached away quickly, and the feed stayed available in the organic fraction. The EC held between 0.24 and 0.4 mS/cm all season, so no salt built up in the profile.

A cleaner irrigation system

Water from an open reservoir normally turns smelly and algal fast. This season it stayed clear and odourless, and filters and sprinkler heads fouled noticeably less. That saves maintenance on the system itself.

Less hand work on the course

Because moisture spreads evenly on its own, there is barely any need to go after dry patches with a hose, and corrective rounds are largely redundant. That spares your crew physical work in exactly the weeks that are busiest anyway.

Application and dosing

TurfEnhancer is blended in continuously through your existing irrigation system, at about 121 ml per cubic metre of water. At De Goese Golf that came to roughly 2,000 litres over the season for the greens, tees and foregreens. No extra equipment, and nothing changes about the maintenance schedule.

How we back this up

Every figure above comes from one course over one season, 7 March to 18 August 2026. TurfEnhancer works purely physically and builds up no mineral traces, so it will not show up as a substance in a standard soil analysis; the evidence is in how the water behaves and how the sward looks. Next season we are setting up an untreated reference plot and starting weekly sap analyses.
